Delivery
Here at Paving Planet, we work closely alongside our delivery partners to ensure the swift and safe delivery of your paving purchase. Please see below more information regarding our delivery terms.
We offer free standard delivery on all orders to UK mainland addresses. We are also happy to arrange delivery to non-mainland addresses - please contact us for a delivery quote and expected timescales. If you are unsure as to whether your address is considered to be within our interpretation of 'UK mainland', then please contact us to enquire.
Standard delivery on all orders is 2-4 working days. If you require an item in a tighter timeframe, please contact us to discuss your options. Please bear in mind that delivery could be delayed due to unforseen circumstances beyond our control. Should this occur, we will be in touch with you to advise on your new delivery date. Please do not book any tradesmen until your purchase arrives at your address.
Delivery is carried out via third party couriers, using a tail-lift and manual pump truck. This means that your purchase can only be delivered at kerbside drop or to the nearest access point on a hard surface. If your property is located on loose gravel chipping, soft ground or elevated surface which ths truck is unable to pass, your delivery will be left on the nearest suitable area. Should there be no suitable drop-off point at the address specified on your order, the courier will be unable to safely deliver your purchase and will have to return with the product. This may incur delivery costs, so please ensure you have a suitable surface for delivery.
Should you have an accessible driveway at your delivery address, your delivery may be offloaded onto your driveway with your permissions. This will be completed solely on your agreement. Any other service offered is strictly between yourself (the customer) and the courier, and is not part of the contract between our company (Paving Planet) and the customer.
It is your responsibility to inform us of any access problems, before placing the order. If the property is inaccessible, re-delivery charges may be charged.
You are required to be at the delivery address on the nominated delivery day to receive and sign for the delivery. The delivery must be signed for by someone present at the address. To avoid re-delivery charges, the courier may leave the order unsigned at your address, with prior consent. Once the order has been delivered with your consent, we are no longer responsible for the product.
We highly recommend that you inspect the products on delivery, by removing the packaging. If you unfortunately find the items to be faulty on receipt of your order, please do not sign for the delivery, and contact us immediately, whilst the driver is still there. Once you sign for the delivery, the courier will no longer be responsible for any breakages. If you cannot physically check your delivery upon receipt, please sign the proof of delivery as "damaged", and report any breakages to us via email within 48 hours, accompanied by photographs of the problem.
We fully quality check all our products before it is dispatched, to ensure nothing leaves us without being in perfect condition. However, due to the nature of the products, please allow 10% for chips, breakages and corners in transport. Breakages in transit can be used for cut-offs, therefore we do not offer any refunds if this occurs. We are, however, happy to replace any broken slabs, should you cover the courier charges or collect in person from our yard in Chesterfield.
We are confident that you will be happy with your order, however should you wish to return your order, we will be happy to accept the return, provided that the order is still in a sellable condition, within the original packaging. We can only accept the return of full packs. As the customer, you are responsible for arranging the return at your own cost, and ensuring that the product is appropriately packaged for transit. You will be charged a 20% restocking charge for returns, and third party transport costs will be deducted from the refund amount. If the product is returned via our courier, you will still be responsible for the delivery cost.
Refunds for returns will be issued within 14 days upon receipt of the returned items, following a quality control inspection. We cann't accept returns of excess product or leftover, so please ensure you order the correct quantity of paving slabs for your project. We are not responsible for consequential loss, due to a delay in the delivery of your order.
